Why Optimized

We all know the 80/20 rule…

20% of the people are responsible for 80% of the results.

But, is it true? Yes.

Is it true in network marketing? YES!

Now, even if you believe it, do you practice it in working your MLM leads list?

It’s tough to….Because the MLM lead generation business has been focused on generating millions of leads (quantity…not quality).

The problem: With any MLM lead list, how do you know the quality of the person you’re calling? Yes, they filled out the proverbial “I’d like to have a home-based business” form on the Internet. And, they said they’d like to make $10,000 per month. This doesn’t tell us if the person is capable or not.

What if you truly only focused on the 20%’rs?

How would your business explode?

The 20%’rs get on auto-ship (and stay on longer), buy tools, attend meetings, know MLM isn’t “get ruich quick”, and “understand” the business.

What happens when you focus on the 80%’rs?

Yes, you maybe can get them involved because you’re passionate about your MLM program. So, you get the one-time “sale” by sponsoring them.

But, can they move your business forward to help you make 6-digits and live the MLM dream lifestyle? No!

What happens to the typical network marketer?

You start your career in Network Marketing and buy 100 leads. But, did you really get 100 leads worth calling? Any one who’s worked leads knows the answer is no.

Take any list of 100 names and you’ll discover it actually looks like this on average.

Three MLM Growth Profiles

Examine closely a MLM business and you’ll discover that it fits into one of three distinct profiles.

The first one is what you wanted to achieve when you entered network marketing. It’s what all of us heard and pictured when we started in MLM. We never imagined it happening any other way.

The second is what happens to strong leaders who don’t have a proactive focus on bringing in top tier people. The MLM organization turns into a “job”. More MLM leads won’t solve this problem. More prospecting towards top tier prospects will begin to turn it around.

The third is the revolving door we see a lot in MLM today. “Get rich quick” becomes the battle cry. Who has time for creating long-term wealth? Lots of lower tier people…lots of attrition…and an opportunity cost that is high. No real hope of reaching personal economic goals or achieving personal satisfaction.

Now, you’re asking yourself, “what does optimizing MLM leads have to do with profiles of growth?” Everything. MLM is purely leadership driven. People move products. Volume follows people getting in. Everything starts and ends with our prospects.

1 - Geometric & Exponential Growth Business - S Curve

Characteristics:

A true business

As the business grows, you make more, and work less

Recruiting Process:

Proactive through many marketing “pillars”Culturally Targeted…organization knows who are ideal prospects
Organization has clear value engine to bring to market (clarity)

The People: (Heavily weighted towards the upper tiers)

Key attributes -
Entrepreneurial – Want to be in business
Long-term thinkers – Willing to invest several years to make full-time income
Persistent – Not easily deterred by negatives from family, friends, and prospects
Ethical persuaders – Seek win-win in recruiting and building organization

Credibility – Can get people to meetings or onto conference calls
Leadership – People follow them and trust their recommendations
Contacts – Have a “warm” market that’s been nurtured over time

This group makes up approximately 23% of a good business or mlm opportunity lead list.

The Four MLM Quadrants

Remember the 80/20 rule? AKA The Pareto Principle.

It was discovered in 1897 by Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto (1848-1923).

In MLM, the rule can make us wealthy!

Sadly, most of us only exploit a tiny portion of it’s power. Vilfredo was looking at patterns of wealth in nineteenth-century England. He found that most of the income and wealth went to a minority of the people. Sound familiar?

He discovered that the distribution of wealth was predictably unbalanced.

The 80/20 rules says that a minority of your effort, focus, or inputs (20%) will yield 80% of your results.

So, in reverse, 80% of what you do adds up to extremely limited results for you.

How do you apply this to your prospecting of MLM leads list? Simple.

Invest 80% of your time working on what we call the right side of the 4 quadrants…with the people we call “Gold Stars”. They comprise about 9-23% of any MLM lead list. We’ll show you how to isolate them.

Your opportunity cost in working on the left quadrants is too great. It drains both time and emotions. And, it won’t create a long-term sustaining “real” business or long-term wealth.

Success in MLM is not a lone ranger event. It’s really due to you aligning both upline and downline with top tier people.

Top tier people will propel your business into quantum growth.

Below, you’ll see how we describe the 4 quadrants.

Think back to some recent calls...where did the people you were talking to fall into?

Were they a “D” who filled out a work-from-home form on the Internet because they were bored…something to do during TV commercials?

Were they a “C” - always looking but never achieving? You were quick to sponsor them. They were excited about the business, and you had high expectation that you found real winners. They call you often but never make outgoing calls to prospects.

How about a “B”? They’re a great prospect but not looking right now. You gave them your “pitch” but they were neutral to it. What’s next for them? Keep in touch respectfully. Sooner or later they’ll be looking and they’re capable of great growth when they join you.

Now for those “A’s”. The crown jewel in MLM leads lists. Serious would describe your initial conversation with them. They know what they want and just need a vehicle to get them there. Did you align their personal vision with what you have in your opportunity? Didn’t they just seem to be naturals after they joined you? Coachable, sincere and long-term focused are excellent words to describe them.
